JCD has developed various tools to help local schools educate students about topics such as ground water contamination, the environmental role of the riparian interface, and anthropologic influences on water contamination.
Ground Water Flow Model
This is an interactive display that demonstrates the movement of pollutants through the soil. By using dyes and gravity it shows how pollutants in one area can impact downstream waters of another area.

Riparian Trailer
A riparian zone or area is the interface between land and water. These zones are extremely important because they protect aquatic environments from excessive sedimentation, polluted surface runoff and erosion. The riparian trailer provides a visual demonstration of how riparian vegetation prevents excessive erosion and pollution in water.

EnviroScape
The EnviroScape is another tool that is used to show water pollution and how to prevent it. This model focuses on how various aspects of our communities such as farms, construction sites, and golf courses can lead to water degradation.
